MedHelp, an online health community with nine million monthly unique users, has announced the launch of the My Cycles mobile application, a free health application for women.
My Cycles allows women to track their cycles, fertile window and ovulation in a convenient mobile format that can be accessed on demand on the iPhone(TM) and iPod touch(R).
My Cycles is targeted at women who place a high priority on their health and need the ability to manage their health wherever they are. The app includes the ability to track flow, mood, PMS symptoms, usage of birth control and other treatments.
My Cycles can track and predict future period days and ovulation days, so that women can plan accordingly. In addition, for women who are actively trying to conceive, there is an optional setting that allows users to track advanced ovulation signs such as basal body temperature and detects ovulation based on the Fertility Awareness Method and Ovulation Prediction Kits. My Cycles automatically backs up data and syncs to a user's account on medhelp.org.
"Our Menstrual Cycle Tracker and Ovulation Trackers have been very successful on medhelp.org, and it was a natural extension to offer these health tools on the iPhone. Our members have found the Menstrual Cycle Tracker useful as a record of cycle irregularities and missed periods for their doctor's visits. Many of our members who have used the Ovulation Tracker have successfully moved on to our Pregnancy Tracker. We hope that we can help many more women with our mobile app," said Cindy Thompson, Founder and VP, Medical Partnerships, MedHelp. "We believe that managing your health isn't something that you do strictly when you're logged in from your home computer. We recognize that women are very busy, and we're dedicated to giving them access to their health information wherever and whenever they want it."
My Cycles is a free application, and its comprehensive features include:
* Intuitive and easy-to-use calendar with records of past periods and symptoms * Analysis of past cycles to enhance predictions of future period and ovulation days * Access to MedHelp's 300-plus health communities * Automatic backups to MedHelp to prevent data loss * Automatic sync with online data stored in MedHelp Trackers on medhelp.org so users can enter data through various devices
My Cycles is currently available for free on the iPhone(TM) and iPod touch(R) and will be offered on additional mobile platforms next year. To download My Cycles, search for "My Cycles" in the Apple iTunes(R) App Store(SM) or visit MedHelp My Cycles at http://www.medhelp.org/land/my-cycles. |
